This week we are featuring the 2012 Gender Spectrum Family Conference, “Think Outside the Boxes: Expanding Our Understanding of Gender.”

Why: The Gender Spectrum Family Conference celebrates gender diversity for all children and youth. The weekend-long conference will focus on the needs of gender nonconforming children and teens, their family members and other loved ones, and the allied community of professionals. The Gender Spectrum offers several different ticket packages, including an extremely discounted rate through age 19 and a family ticket. The Gender Spectrum is also offering scholarships to help cover the cost of the conference. The conference features several different programming tracks, including adult programming, family support, teen programming, tween programming, and kids programming.
