Q&A: Who Would You Recommend for a Low-Cost Safer Sex Presenter?

Each week, The CSPH answers questions that have been submitted anonymously through our Formspring.  This week we’re answering:  Who would you recommend for a low-cost safer sex presenter for our meet-up group, sie* (sexual intelligence exchange) in the Boston/Metrowest area?

Answer:
There are a number of safer sex presenters who would be happy to present with Sexual Intelligence Exchange.  However, without more information, it is difficult to ascertain which instructors would best fit your needs.  There are many logistical things to take into account when considering booking a speaker, such as your desired price range; the preferred date of workshop; the size of the group and venue; potential travel and hotel costs; and whether the educator has multiple bookings in the same city, which would decrease the cost.  You will also want to consider the demographics of your group, as well as the length and style of the presentation, which can take the form of a lecture, workshop, panel, or guided discussion, amongst other presentation formats.

That said, if you’d like some direction as to where to begin your search, The Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health has a reference list of awesome sexuality educators and presenters that The CSPH endorses.  Explore the presenters’ websites and communicate with them to get a feel of their personality and teaching style to discern whether or not they are a good fit for your organization.  Also, every educator has different standards for the cost of their workshops, so you’ll find that prices can run the gamut.

The CSPH is also proud to suggest our own sex educator, Megan Andelloux, (CSE/AASECT).  Megan is a sexuality educator as well as the founder and Director of The Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health.  She presents on a number of topics, which can be found on her website.  Her community workshops and private parties are $500 for those within two hours from Pawtucket, RI.  (Note: This does not apply to Megan’s Study Sex College Tour.)  In consideration of those with limited funds, sliding scale options are available, but only for situations that Megan considers on a case-by-case basis.

For more information about Megan Andelloux’s presentations, feel free to contact info@thecsph.org.
