Each week, The CSPH answers questions that have been submitted anonymously through our Formspring. This week’s question is: When will The CSPH be accepting summer internship applications? When will notifications of who is accepted be sent out?

The CSPH is super excited for our next round of summer interns, so we’re especially glad for the opportunity to discuss our internship at length.
To respond to your questions specifically: we are accepting applications for our summer internship positions beginning this week! The deadline is April 16 by 5 PM Eastern Standard Time, and all application materials should be e-mailed to both info@thecsph.org and thecsph@gmail.com. No late applications will be considered, so be sure to get them in on time! Beginning April 17, The CSPH will begin contacting applicants to schedule interviews. Final decisions will be announced on May 7, 2012.
Why apply to intern with The CSPH? Although this is an unpaid internship, the perks are plenty. First and foremost, you get access to the vast network of resources available at our wonderful resource center and through The CSPH Founder and Director, Megan Andelloux, a certified and accredited sex educator and sexologist. Furthermore, interns are privy to a variety of professional development and continuing education events with guest speakers and presenters in the field of sexuality, which are provided as guidance for those interested in entering the industry. In addition to our wonderful staff and amazing team of interns, The CSPH internship provides discounted admission price to select conferences, free products, and discounted Continuing Education (CE) credits that can be used for certification and accreditation in the field of sexuality.
It’s also important to note that this internship isn’t your regular copy-making, “fetch me a coffee!” internship experience– our interns are incredibly involved, and each have their assigned responsibilities that aid in the functioning of The Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health as an organization. We are all accountable to each member of the internship team, so hard work and innovative contributions are integral in this opportunity. Lastly, summer interns are required to work 20 hours a week, and while most of our positions allow telecommuting, those who are local are required to spend at least 10-15 hours a week minimum at The CSPH physical space.
