Each week, The CSPH takes a look at a sexual aid that can be just so helpful for some people, that it needs to be highlighted. This week’s sexual aid is the Curvy by Toyfriend.
How does this product work?
Curvy is one of the four vibrators in the Rocket Toyfriends line, each boasting sleek shapes and powerful pulsations. Like a typical Toyfriend, Curvy is waterproof, so you can make a real splash with it in the tub or shower. It is also made from body-safe silicone, which means that you would not be exposing yourself to any of the nasty chemicals that are often present in lower-quality toys.As the name implies, this toy is all curves, making it ideal for g-spot stimulation, though it also works nicely at the vaginal entrance and inside the vagina. While a penis-owner could enjoy Curvy’s unique shape, this is not a good toy to use for internal anal stimulation. Without a flange on the end, there is nothing stopping a night of passion with Curvy from turning into a trip to the emergency room to retrieve it.Controlled by a single button on the base of the toy, Curvy can be turned on and off by pressing and holding this button. Once the vibrator is powered up, you just need to press the button to change settings, of which Curvy has five: two speeds and three pulsation modes. With all that variety, you’re bound to find at least one setting to knock your socks off.
Important things to note:
Included with Curvy are two AAA batteries that you can replace by unscrewing the base of the vibrator, in addition to a clear display stand.Considering Curvy’s size, don’t think twice about using a lubricant, just make sure you stick with something water-based. A silicone lube will ruin the vibrator’s soft, silicone finish. If you need help finding the right lube to use with Curvy, check out The CSPH’s Lube 101.
Keeping it clean:
For best results, wash Curvy with mild soap and water before and after each use.Curvy would be a perfect addition to your toy collection if you are looking for a toy with a unique shape that packs a girthy punch while being safe to use on your body and in the bath. However, if you like Curvy’s shape but are intimidated by its size, you might prefer Bubbly or the pocket-sized Nice. If you are looking for a different type of stimulation, you can refer to Toyfriend’s Usage Guide to find the right toy for you.
